About this desk

Who publishes this site and how it is paid

This page sets out who is behind The Indian Premium, what the figures on the site measure, how they are taken, and the one commercial relationship the desk has. It is written for a reader deciding whether to rely on the numbers published here.

The publisher and its limits

The Indian Premium is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. The site exists to republish one measurement: the domestic gold rate and the international price converted to rupees per gram. The desk takes these figures from named public sources and adds the date and hour they were read. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. Any reader who needs advice for their own situation should consult a licensed professional, not this page.

The desk has no office, no phone line and no staff beyond the editor named below. It does not sell gold, does not buy gold and does not handle any transaction. Its only activity is editorial: reading public sources, writing down the numbers, and correcting them when they are wrong. The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form, so there is no way for a reader to give the desk money or data through this site.

The measurement and its sources

The site publishes one measurement: the domestic gold rate as stated by the trade association, and the international price taken from two independent sources, converted to rupees per gram. The domestic rate is the association's own; the desk does not alter it. The international figure is never taken from the same page as the domestic one, so a reader can see where each number began. Under every table, the sources are named with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. If the source changes its number later in the day, this site does not chase it; the desk records what was read at the hour shown.

The hour is republished with every figure because gold prices move during the day. A rate read in the morning is not the same fact as a rate read in the evening. The desk does not guess, does not average and does not fill gaps with estimates. If a source is unavailable at the reading time, that reading is thrown away rather than published. The reader should treat any figure on this site as a snapshot, not a live ticker.

The editor and responsibility

The editor named on the pages is Kavita Iyer, Markets data editor. She is the person responsible for what the site states. That means she checks the sources, decides when a figure is ready to publish, and signs off on any correction. If a figure is wrong, the correction is dated and shown on the same page, so a reader can see what changed and when. The editor does not answer questions about whether to buy or sell; those are not editorial questions and this desk has no licence to answer them.

The editor's address is the only contact point this site offers: editor@goldpricefxin.com. Writing to that address reaches the editor directly. Corrections are the reason the address exists. A reader who finds a published figure that does not match its named source should write with the source and the reading time. The editor will check and, if the site is wrong, correct the figure and date the correction.

The affiliate relationship

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader clicks that link and opens an account, the desk is paid a commission by the broker. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only commercial relationship the desk has, and it does not change any figure on the site. The gold rates shown here are not affected by whether a reader uses the broker link or not. The desk publishes the same numbers either way.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Following the link leaves this site. The desk does not see what a reader does on the broker's site, does not hold any client money and does not give advice about using the broker. The disclosure above is repeated on the terms page, so a reader can find it in two places. There is no other payment, no advertising, and no sponsored content on this site.
