The terms on which these pages are read

This page states the conditions under which every figure on this site is published. It says what the desk is, what it can and cannot do, and how it is paid. It is the page to read before relying on any number shown here.

No orders or advice

The Indian Premium is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. Its subject is one measurement, taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour it was read. The domestic rate is the association's own; the international price comes from two independent sources and is converted to rupees a gram.

Because the desk only republishes measurements, it cannot act on a reader's behalf. It accepts no orders, processes no payments, and gives no instruction on what to buy or sell. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A reader who needs advice must find it elsewhere; this site does not offer it.

No investment advice

Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures are measurements of published sources and carry the limits of those sources. They state a price at a moment, not a prediction of a future price. A reader who acts on them does so alone and is responsible for their own decision.

The desk does not estimate costs it cannot verify, such as a jeweller's making charge or a shop's buy-back rate. Those sums belong to the counter, not to this page. The reader decides alone, after asking the shop for its own itemised bill, and this site cannot promise any outcome.

The site's only broker link

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only commercial relationship the desk has.

Following that link leaves this site. The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and this desk has no control over what happens there. The affiliate relationship does not change any figure published here; the desk would show the same measurement with or without the link.

Privacy and corrections

The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs; the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.

Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the editor, Kavita Iyer, Markets data editor. Corrections are the reason the address exists: a figure that is wrong is corrected and the correction is dated. A reader who finds an error should write; the desk will act on it.
